A Community of communities
People come to conferences for a variety of reasons; to learn, to teach, to network, to meet old friends and make new ones. Whatever your reason we want you to feel welcome, safe and included.
If you are planning on traveling to the conference alone and would like to get to know some of the community before you arrive we have a slack channel and several user groups around Scotland that meet regularly. For more information on local user groups please see ScotlandPHP user groups.
On The Day
Some quick tips for while you’re here!
- When talking in groups leave clear spaces for others to join, not everyone comes with their friends/collegues.
- When someone joins a group discussion you are part of make sure to say hello, do a quick introduction and, if appropriate, get them up to speed.
- ASSUME EVERYONE IS TECHNICAL - being technical doesn’t have a look, this is a technical conference so please assume that everyone you meet has technical knowledge.
If you (or your company/organisation) have any ideas or would like to help us make this years conference as inclusive and welcoming as possible please get in touch at [email protected].
We have published our Code of Conduct here so make sure to have a proper read through it before you get here!
